Italian pianist Andrea Vivanet, based in Vienna, has appeared as a soloist in recital and with orchestra throughout Europe and internationally.

He has recently appeared on tour in Mexico with the Deutsches Kammerorchester Berlin, performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto K.414, and has given recitals across Europe and beyond, including Italy, Austria, France, Denmark, Hungary, Georgia, and Russia.

Andrea Vivanet began his musical studies in Cagliari at the Conservatorio di Musica G. P. da Palestrina. He later graduated with honors at the Conservatorio “G. Frescobaldi” in Ferrara under the guidance of Christa Bützberger and Marina Rossi, with whom he also attended the Triennial Masterclass in Piano and Chamber Music Ars et Labor, receiving a diploma with distinction.

He studied at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest with Balázs Szokolay and István Lantos, where he obtained his Master’s degree with honors. He has also studied with distinguished musicians including Miklós Perényi, András Keller, Ferenc Rados, and Paul Badura-Skoda.

Prizewinner at the Osaka International Music Competition, he has performed at the Magyar Zene Háza in Budapest alongside Concerto Budapest under András Keller, and at venues including the Bösendorfer Salon in Vienna and the Liszt Ferenc Memorial Museum in Budapest.

His discography includes several albums for labels such as Naxos, Centaur Records, and Brilliant Classics, featuring repertoire ranging from Ravel and Tchaikovsky to Bartók, Mussorgsky, Szymanowski, and Shostakovich. His latest recording, dedicated to the keyboard works of Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck, was released by Brilliant Classics in 2024.

His recordings have been broadcast internationally by ABC Australia, HR2 Kultur and rbbKultur (Germany), Danish Radio, and Radio Orpheus (Russia), and have received critical acclaim in leading publications including Gramophone, Interlude (Hong Kong), and Chopin Magazine (Japan).

Andrea Vivanet is currently a piano professor at the Wiener Musikademie in Vienna.
